Discover the new class at DiR clubs that will help you prevent injuries and improve your postural habits
Mobility arrives at DiR to meet a very important need that not everyone takes into consideration in their workouts: learning to move properly.
Many people aren’t aware of the ways their mobility is limited until they get injured or experience intense back pain. Once this happens, the vast majority of people decide to include stretching exercises in their sessions, but that’s really not enough to avoid injuries and muscle aches.
That’s why we’ve created Mobility at DiR Clubs. Our goal is to help you improve your posture, learn how to move better and do every specific movement in any type of training correctly and risk-free.
Mobility can also be adapted to anyone. For example, to athletes who, due to their training, need to improve muscle and/or joint rigidity; it’s also recommended for people who have bad postural habits due to their job –who need to make up for the 8 hours they spend at the office every day–; and also for people who are starting to notice they’re not so mobile any more.
What are the benefits of Mobility?
In addition to preventing injuries and muscle pain, working on the general mobility of the body offers a number of benefits regarding sports performance and an improvement in your quality of life.
In this sense, the new Mobility class will also help you reduce your levels of stress and anxiety, relax your muscles, improve your overall coordination, your posture and avoid muscle and joint stiffness.
What’s a Mobility class like?
During a Mobility class, you’ll not only stretch but also work on your muscles and joints, adapting every exercise to the fitness level of the participants.
There are two types of Mobility classes, depending on if the class is 30 or 55 minutes long:
- Mobility 30′: is the shorter version that focuses on a myofascial massage, the improvement of movement ranges through exercises with sticks and other equipment and active stretching. It’s an ideal class both for its duration and content to be followed by a good training session.
- Mobility 55’: this session starts more gently, with simple warm-up movements and balance exercises and then becomes more intense with exercises with sticks and active stretching. The class also includes myofascial massage exercises, passive stretching and return to a calm state with relaxation exercises towards the end. You should ideally take this class once a week, in addition to your training routine.
It will be available in every club as of January 9
Mobility is one of the novelties for 2019 and focuses on improving your posture habits and movement capacity to complement your workouts at the gym. You can enjoy this activity at your DiR Club from January 9.
